The British School of Barcelona (BSB) has retained the 'Outstanding in Every Category' status achieved in 2021 following the British Schools Overseas inspection of our school in October 2024. This is the highest recognition that an international school can receive and places us as one of the best British schools in the world.
BSO is the gold standard for British international education worldwide and represents a benchmark for the best international schools. It is a voluntary inspection scheme whereby the most prestigious British Schools in the world are inspected against a common set of standards that are aligned to independent schools in the United Kingdom.
The inspection was completed by Penta International, an independent inspectorate body approved by the English Department for Education (DfE), and one of the leading inspection providers.
As a result of the inspection, the report highlights many strengths of BSB, including the:
