We serve balanced, nutritious meals that your child will love
We believe that lunchtime is part of the educational experience that children get at BSB. It’s a time to enjoy a healthy, balanced diet that helps them maintain their concentration and energy levels throughout the school day. And it’s also a great opportunity to spend some social time with their friends.
We offer wholesome, nutritious meals, and encourage healthy habits that children will carry on into adulthood.
Diverse eating preferences
Catering for special diets
We cater for the wide variety of dietary requirements of our international community of students. We offer a range of different meat menus (whether specifically no beef or no pork), a pescatarian menu and also vegan/vegetarian menus.
Food allergies and intolerances
We take food allergies or intolerances very seriously. We work very closely with parents to ensure we provide the correct and balanced diet for children with food allergies or intolerances, as we believe that it is important that these children enjoy eating school food with their classmates.
Food education
Prioritising sustainable, healthy eating habits from a young age
Part of our educational journey includes raising students’ awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and environmental care. We encourage sustainable food practices and support locally sourced ingredients. We also aim to nurture a preference for seasonal food to help cut down on environmental impact.
Developing their culinary curiosity
As an international school we celebrate the cultural diversity as a truly enriching experience. This includes the different cuisines and traditions around the world.
We organise thematic food days, in which children are given the opportunity to try new foods from other countries, such as Mexican, Chinese, German, British or Indian, among others.
By the end of the year, we endeavour to make sure that the students have added something new and nutritious to their diet.
